I have been married to my fun and loving partner, John for ten years. Our pets are like our children to us, we own a cat and have a
new arrival Golden Retriever puppy called Meesha. Family is very important to us, and while we don’t have children, I enjoy giving my energy and love to children and youth as a volunteer. I have spent time mentoring as a Big Sister, Youth Mentor, and Volunteer Director at the CIBC Run for the Cure for four years. I am a big believer in "walking and living my talk” – and so I found my personal growth is on-going!
Geri’s Cool journeys...... Some interesting journeys I have taken span from hiking the Chilkoot Trail, snow shoeing and dog sledding in the Yukon to performing as a Can Can dancer. I learned
much about Japanese culture while taking a trip to Japan and home staying with Japanese family. I love Hawaii, and explored all islands. I fondly remember driving up north, heading from Vancouver, BC to
experience the Alaska wilderness. Trips on horseback and in boats on rivers were also fun and allowed me to see the scenery from new angles.
Sometimes people ask me what is the wackiest, craziest thing I have ever done. To this, I answer: How about going up to the Yukon to work only for one
summer ending up staying for over ten
years? I guess one of my wackiest jobs is working as a gas jockey, yes, in – 40 C weather <burr!>. Perhaps a bit outlandish you could call my interest in clowning. Yes, that’s right, clowning, as in being a clown, entertaining others and make them laugh. I started this little adventure while living in a very small community, where I put on shows for neighbours. I competed in the PNE talent show and even cut a record. These days, I act and clown mostly for fun. It brings me and others so much joy! So, bring on the family events, I’ll happily dress up and perform in various, capturing characters!
Professional Background\Experience
My entrepreneurial experience includes start up and running a variety of businesses, including a fitness business.
My diverse background also involved working for corporations, such as Canadian Airlines and International Weight Management Company. I have worked as a Trainer, Facilitator and had a succesfull career in Sales and Management, including first female to achieve top sales at a Vancouver Honda Dealership. I have over 18 years experience as a life coach.
What I thrive doing best is supporting people in designing and living their best life.
I personally believe, that if you believe in yourself and your vision you can do it! Working with me as a coach, I encourage you to allow yourself to be realistic AND STILL dream big! I will encourage to go for your goals, because the sky is the limit! As you’re your coach, I will ask you to take responsibility for yourself and know when to get support. Persevere. When you plan to run a marathon (or any other goals you might have), together, I will be by your side as you take baby steps. Let’s focus on your journey and enjoy it, as this is what is truly important!
