Geri's Bio - Personal Background
Geri's life story includes overcoming a number of personal challenges and reaching some pretty cool goals. She was born and raised in White Rock, BC, on acreage where horses and other pets roamed.
She has lived in several locations before moving to Kelowna in 1995. Kelowna attracted her because of the relaxed lifestyle, warm climate, and having access to all the outdoor activities she loves to do!
Growing up on acreage sparked her love of the great outdoors. Her outdoor hobbies include running, walking, outdoor adventure and water sports. While indoors she enjoys yoga, personal development and acting. She
started acting and singing as a child in community events. She lent her voice to singing in a choir and her mother was a great role model in getting her started with acting and singing. As many of her friends can
attest, one thing she really gets a kick from is going out there, having fun, laughing, creating, sharing, and making other people laugh! She thinks it is part of her spark, her energy, and she promotes laughing
happily for the sheer emotional and physical benefits.
One of the personal challenges she chose to take on was to run a marathon. It was a life long goal and one of the most exhilarating moments in Geri's life
so far. She is proud to say that her personal achievements include saying - "I can do this" and "I did do it!" Running the marathon has changed her life as it increased her self confidence; it
gave her great personal satisfaction, a new positive belief in herself and her own abilities. She also loves to take on other challenges - she says "variety is the spice of life." There are lots of other
things she still wants to do! Perhaps she shall try skydiving next?
